Who We Are?
The MATHA THERESA Foundation is an independent charitable trust registered under the Indian Trusts Act 1882 . We endeavour to implement the dreams of charity & alms giving to solve at scale the overarching societal issues of education, menstruations hygiene, hunger, malnutrition, child trafficking, safe drinking water programmes in the country.
It is our firm belief that investing in child nutrition and education is one of the most effective entry points for human development. Firmly Driven by this belief, we strive to provide children with a basic education and affordable meal every under privileged child as an incentive to come to school.
Thus, the vision – A world in which all people have unparalleled experiences & pathways to health and opportunity.
Since the year 2018, MTF have endeavoured to reach out to children with basic matriculation education in every found school day by leveraging technology and effectively harnessing the potential of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model (donor-ship through public & private domains). By establishing an extensive network of donors and partnering with the Government of India, philanthropists, we have created a system to address a social cause on an affordable scale. Our efforts are in direct alignment with two critical Development Goals –

MISSION – We face the extinction of HUMANITY in our lifetimes. But there is still hope. The solution to the extinction crisis lies in the expansion of natural habits of giving in constantly threatened wild places. We must enlarge and protect the spaces devoted to the human race in order to save the amazing variety of life on our planet – called a human society. Lets be – HUMANE TO HUMAN!!
GOVERNANCE – BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The MATHA THERESA FOUNDATION is a public, charitable, secular Trust, which is registered in Bengaluru. The Board of Trustees comprise of corporate professionals, and entrepreneurs.
MTF strives hard to play a large role in understanding the complex issues faced by children and the rest of the human race empowering them through well-defined processes.

Securing investments & donations that strengthen communities through constructive, collaborative, and innovative engagements with our partners have always been our topmost agenda. Be it an individual donor or a cluster of them, MTF ensures that the partnership & association culminate in bringing a smile on the human race. These partnerships provide us with financial support and help us run our programmes more effectively and efficiently. Increasingly, organisations have also been recognising the importance of value creation through social interventions along with business efforts.

ACCOUNTABILITY
At MTF, we adhere to good governance practices to ensure transparency and accountability in all spheres of functioning—from fundraising to reporting. We strive for excellence through compliance to laws, regulations and operational effectiveness best practices, adopting sincere practices to ensure that there is no malpractices of any degree incurred.
HOW IS YOUR MONETARILY SUPPORT VALUED & SPENT?
Our donors play a crucial role in what we are trying to achieve at The MATHA THERESA FOUNDATION and we are grateful to them for their unwavering support. Accordingly, we strive to ensure utmost transparency and accountability in all matters related to fundraising and funds utilisation. On an average, 95% of the funds donated to the organisation are utilised towards meeting the programme cost and 5% towards programme management cost on a regular & consistent level.

AUDIT SYSTEM:
We strive to uphold transparency as the absolute priority towards maintaining trust and credibility with all our stakeholders. We believe that internal control is the key to good governance. Therefore, we have put in place stringent measures that meet the highest standards of transparency.
We have appointed GURURAJA RAO & ASSOCIATES as our internal auditors to ensure systems and compliance. The Foundation’s Audit Committee reviews their report.
The Audit Committee is a sub-committee of the Board of Trustees established to ensure the effectiveness of the internal control environment. It comprises eminent individuals from the finance domain and serves as a link between the management, the statutory and internal auditors and oversees the financial reporting process.
